Connecting Research and Researchers to Journalists
EWA has launched an effort to make research findings more accessible to journalists. One aspect of that initiative is a new series of documents laying out “what the research says” on various topics. Our prototype is a terrific brief on teacher effectiveness compiled by EWA member Stephen Sawchuk.
We plan to produce more briefs that are equally illuminating in the coming months. But before finalizing the topics, we want to hear from EWA members.
Are there any oft-cited claims that you’d like help investigating? What topics especially frustrate you because the research is so politicized or contradictory? What research is critical for journalists’ understanding of current topics?
Let us know what you think!
