EWA Resources: We’ve Got You Covered

Whether you’re a veteran journalist or relatively new to the education beat, EWA’s resources can help you make the most of your reporting.

If you’re not yet familiar with our Topics Pages, it’s a great place to start when you’re digging into a complex issue like the Common Core State Standards, teacher workforce, or higher education. You’ll find a handy roundup of the latest research, recent coverage, and even questions to ask to help you take your story to the next level. The newest addition is the roundup on Student-Centered Learning.

There’s also some terrific writing being done by my EWA colleagues over on the Ed Beat BlogNatalie Gross, the new voice of EWA’s Latino Ed Beat blog, has a thoughtful piece on the importance of parental involvement, drawn from our recent convening in Dallas for Spanish-language reporters.

If it’s multimedia you’re looking for, you can catch up with replays of our recent webinars, as well as the latest episodes of EWA Radio. You can also subscribe to our podcasts on iTunes.

And don’t forget: if you’re a reporter on deadline and need help with background, sources or story ideas, you can take advantage of the one-on-one help from the public editor. (That’s me, by the way!) Drop me an email at erichmond@ewa.org.
