Space is filling up quickly for EWA’s 68th National Seminar, which will take place in Chicago April 20-22. We also have a limited number of travel scholarships available to qualified reporters.

Costs and Benefits: Covering the Economics of Education, will include new ideas for compelling stories on everything from salary schedules and bond issues to the burdens on families struggling to pay for preschool or college. Journalists will also sharpen their skills and find new ways to make the most of the resources in their own newsrooms. We’ll also have site visit opportunities to see some of the innovative educational programs at work in the Windy City, both at the K-12 and higher education level.

The University of Chicago is our host this year, and we’re looking forward to a stellar event. We strongly encourage you sign up this week to ensure you don’t miss out. Journalists should start with the travel scholarship application. And EWA supporting community members can register here
