How does the United States compare to other countries when it comes to spending on early childhood, K-12, and higher education? Where are the greatest inequalities, and what are the potential consequences for individuals’ earning potential, as well as communities and national economies? What cuts have been made to school workforces and resources in the lingering wake of the recession?

The answers to these questions and more are in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s forthcoming “Education at a Glance 2015” report.

You can get early, embargoed access to the report by registering for a journalists-only webinar on Monday, November 23, at noon (eastern) hosted by the Education Writers Association. (The report will be distributed in advance of the event to qualified attendees.)

During the webinar, Andreas Schleicher, the OECD’s deputy director for education and skills, will discuss the latest findings in Education at a Glance, which provides comparable national statistics measuring the state of education worldwide. The report analyses the education systems of the 34 OECD member countries, as well as Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

Registering for the webinar will constitute an agreement to abide by the terms of the OECD’s embargo.
