Jennifer Dounay Zinth has been with the Education Commission of the States (ECS) since 1997. As director of high school and STEM at ECS, Zinth is sought for her in-depth knowledge of education policy and keen ability to analyze complex education research. She speaks nationally on a wide range of education related topics and is a ‘go-to’ among state policymakers for best practices in all high school related issues. Zinth has received national recognition for her high school and transitions to postsecondary work, including dual enrollment. She has been cited by numerous media outlets nationwide, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and NPR, as well as by academic publications. Zinth’s education expertise is also demonstrated in external publications, including authoring a chapter in the book “Promising Practices during High School,” an article in The Council of State Governments’ 2009 Book of the States, and a book chapter “State Policies to Increase Rigor and Relevance in High Schools,” published in 2012.
