Amar Kumar is senior vice president in the office of the chief education advisor at Pearson. Amar leads Pearson’s transformation to embed efficacy into every single product, coordinating a team of 100 colleagues around the world. In addition to his focus on efficacy, Kumar is the head of the global research team and leads some of Pearson’s investments into low-cost schooling in India. Prior to Pearson, Kumar was working within McKinsey and Company’s education and high-tech practices. His passion for education was ignited when Kumar served as a teacher and principal at a rural school in Bangalore, India.
