Introducing Latino Ed Beat

Anyone following U.S. education knows that the growth of the nation's Latino population is having an impact on schools.

To help journalists cover issues affecting Latino children and their schooling, we have just launched Latino Ed Beat, a new website that will serve as a continuously updated resource on young Latinos at every grade level. New content is being added constantly, but the site is already packed with information to help you broaden your reporting. Some of the features include:

• A blog offering guidance on covering Latino children from toddlers to teens
• Reports on demographics and schooling, English-language learners, and early education, among other topics
• Links to important research studies
• News stories from around the country
