Teamchildren is committed to ensuring that all children are given the tools and opportunities they need to contribute effectively in today's digital global economy. Robert Toporek, its founder, is one of this country's most successful high school dropouts. He left high school in the 11th grade and was one of the first combat ground forces in Vietnam. Toporek received numerous medals and convinced Congress to allow everyone in his battalion who didn't have a high-school diploma the opportunity to take the GED.

Since returning from Vietnam Toporek has been deeply engaged in making a difference. Recently he celebrated the distribution of his 10,000 low-cost refurbished computers to families, schools and organizations. His organization, Teamchallenge, is now in the running to win a $50,000 grant form Pepsi. Anyone 13 or older can vote, and they can vote every day.

He is working with ASPIRA, Inc., of Pennsylvania to  transform its preschool and kindergarten programs. He began with two classrooms of low income three year old Hispanic children and is now working with 25 classrooms. To find out more, call 484-744-18568 or visit www.teamchildren.com.
