The Chronicle of Higher Education is looking for a senior editor to oversee its opinion coverage of higher education and higher-education policy online and in print.
The Chronicle of Higher Education is looking for a senior editor to oversee its opinion coverage of higher education and higher-education policy online and in print. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience editing for a print or online publication as well as deep familiarity with issues affecting colleges and universities. As the editor in charge of The Chronicle's Commentary section, the candidate will help set the agenda for debate in higher education, on issues such as college costs, student affairs, teaching, athletics, campus management, legal affairs, and affirmative action. Working with a team of editors, the Commentary editor identifies compelling issues and authors, commissions articles from leading figures for weekly and daily publication and responds quickly to breaking news and issues of the moment, both in the United States and globally.
