Registration Now Open for Journalists Attending ISTE 2010

WHAT: Online registration is now open for ISTE's annual conference and exposition to be held in Denver this June. ISTE 2010 (formerly NECC, the National Educational Computing Conference), is presented by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE®).

The theme of ISTE 2010 in Denver is Exploring Excellence. It is presented by ISTE in cooperation with Technology in Education Colorado. Deadline for online media pre-registration is June 18, 2010. Onsite registration begins June 26, 2010.

WHEN: June 27-June 30, 2010

WHERE: Colorado Convention Center

WHY: ISTE 2010 is the most comprehensive Ed Tech event in the world.

The full conference program is posted online, including more than 600 sessions and events. Sessions are searchable by time, category, and presenter. Learn more at www.iste.org/iste2010/.

The exhibit hall features more than 400 of the industry's most influential companies and service providers--many of whom announce new products at the conference.

This year's exciting program also includes dynamic speakers, practical demonstrations, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops, as well as a Robotics Arena, an Open Source Playground, a Games and Simulations Arcade, 21st Century Media Center, and Digital Arts Studio.

The opening keynote, to be held Sunday evening, June 27, at the Convention Center, will be author and former World Bank Vice-President Jean Francois Rischard, who will speak about the role of education in our increasingly complex and interconnected world. Rischard is the author of "High Noon: 20 Global Problems, 20 Years to Solve Them."

The closing keynote, to be held Wednesday afternoon, June 30, will be Dr. Jeff Piontek, was chosen as part of a modified crowdsourcing project. Piontek is Head of School at the multi-island Hawaii Technology Academy.

The Tuesday morning keynote will be announced in coming weeks.
