Call for Proposals for 2010 EWA National Seminar
We are no longer accepting proposals for the national seminar.
The Education Writers Association is pleased to invite researchers and organizations to propose speakers, sessions and/or themes for its 63rd annual National Seminar in San Francisco. Please note the date change -- the conference will take place May 13-15, 2010. This year's National Seminar in Washington, DC drew great reviews from reporters and high marks overall, so we look forward to receiving equally exciting ideas from you for the upcoming year. The conference will focus on stimulus spending and impact of the economy on changes in college student attendance and completion, college course quality and teaching. We ask that you explain how your proposal will help journalists and other writers better cover education. The EWA board of directors will meet Oct. 9-10 to evaluate the proposals and set the agenda for the 2010 National Seminar. Board members often take ideas from several proposals and combine them into one broad theme. You can fill out a form online. If you have any questions, email Lori Crouch at lcrouch AT ewa.org or call 202-452-9830.
