"Pre-K predicament: Thousands of parents struggle with costs"

Prohibitive state eligibility requirements and high costs for private early-childhood education are forcing more than 700,000 middle-income families in 20 states to make difficult financial decisions, according to "The Pre-K Pinch: Early Education and the Middle Class" - a study by the Washington, D.C.-based advocacy group Pre-K Now.
