Message From EWA's Executive
Director
When it comes to making sure students are college and career ready,
middle and high school guidance counselors play a critical -- and often
underreported -- role.
I hope you'll join us for the next EWA webinar on Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. EDT. In Giving Guidance: Counselors' Role in College and Career Readiness, we'll
give reporters an advance look at a survey of guidance counselors that
identifies shortcomings in their own training and points to the
challenges of helping students meet ever-increasing expectations.
We'll also hear from experts in the field about the implications of
the survey's findings, as well as what's being done at the local, state
and national levels to improve guidance counseling. You'll come away
with a deeper understanding of the issues and with ideas for localizing
this important story for your own audience. Click here to register!
All the best,
Caroline Hendrie
