The country's leading company in communicating about education policy and practice seeks a media relations pro who has or can develop strong relationships in the education world.

We are seeking a media relations pro who has or can develop strong relationships with the 20-30 reporters, bloggers and producers who matter most in the education world: trades (Ed Week, Chronicle of Higher Education, etc.), mainstream (NYT, WaPo, WSJ, etc.), bloggers, and producers (NBC, CNN, etc.). Candidate must be willing to learn content in enough depth to be a credible translator for media, other opinion leaders, educators, and parents.

Qualifications:

• Strong media contacts (in the education field, preferred)
• Excellent writing skills
• A good team player

This position is located in Arlington, VA.

Salary commensurate with experience.
