Give to EWA

The Education Writers Association works to improve the quality and quantity of education coverage through information, training, and customized support to help reporters and other communicators carry out their vital missions.

Our goal this year is to substantially increase reporter travel to our seminars. Every dollar you donate goes to assist in this cause.

We received a great response from our end-of-the-year push. Let's keep the donations coming.

For just $10 a month, you can enjoy the discounts and other benefits that come with being a member of the EWA Honor Society. We need your support more than ever, so please give all you can today!

What Do Studies Say About College Readiness?

Among school reformers and policymakers, “college readiness” has become a rallying cry. But for all of the recent buzz about the term, it is difficult to say what it means, how such readiness might be measured, or what schools might do to produce it.

EWA's new research brief delves into the current debates around, and research into, efforts to ensure that the majority of the country’s young people receive a K-12 education that truly prepares them to succeed in college. Click here to read the brief, and be sure to check out our previous briefs on Teacher Effectiveness and School Turnarounds.

EWA Webinar Eyes Community College Tracking Tool

Once relegated to second-class status behind campuses awarding four-year degrees, community colleges are now in the higher education spotlight.

EWA members recently got an advance look at a new digital tool that provides searchable, state-level data on community college students in five areas: enrollment; developmental education placement; progress; transfer and completion; and job placement/workforce outcomes.

Check out the recording of our exclusive webinar, which can be accessed here.
