The Chronicle of Higher Education is looking for an innovative Assistant Editor for our Commentary pages and Review section.
If you are a journalist with five years of print and online editing experience and a passion for turning mediocre copy into top-flight prose and good stories into great ones, The Chronicle of Higher Education may have the job for you.
We are looking for an assistant editor for our Commentary pages and Review section. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker and energetic team player eager to work with all aspects of our editing process, from assigning articles to working one-on-one with authors and bloggers, and from developing multi-platform projects to proofreading pages.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Experience shaping and developing written work for publication
-A strong interest in and curiosity about higher education issues
-Excellent headline-writing and line-editing skills
-Close attention to detail and accuracy
