Natalie Gross is a program specialist and the Latino Ed Beat blogger for EWA.
Before joining EWA in September 2014, she worked as a reporter in the Southwest covering K-12 education in both New Mexico and Texas. Natalie was part of two writing teams that won first-place awards in 2013 from the New Mexico Press Association and received the School Bell Award in 2014 from the Texas State Teachers Association for a story on the Lubbock Independent School District’s controversial use of taxpayer funds. In addition to writing about education, she has covered crime, city government, oil and gas and produced award-winning coverage of other topics. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Maranatha Baptist University and is pursuing a master’s in journalism from Georgetown University.
