David Loewenberg is a program specialist at the Education Writers Association. He develops content for EWA events, conducts research and writes for the organization’s website, and supports other EWA programs.
Previously, David was an education policy intern at New America, a Washington think tank, where he researched and wrote about early childhood and elementary education issues. Before that, he taught pre-K for two years in St. Louis as a Teach For America corps member. In addition, David interned at the U.S. Department of Education and for a Texas state lawmaker. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also wrote for the award-winning Daily Texan student newspaper.
