Rigorous Work-Study Cristo Rey High School Gears Up for Opening

Come fall, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, a private school designed to steer more low-income students into higher education and careers, in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Cristo Rey national network is scheduled to have 30 schools across the country in 2015-’16, including new sites in Milwaukee and Dallas. The schools are known for rigorous academics and an unusual funding model: All students share full-time positions at local businesses, working five days a month to help offset the cost of tuition.
