Letourneau Principal Excited for Longer Days at Fall River School

FALL RIVER — Brian Raposo sat behind his desk one recent afternoon glowing with the kind of excitement that typically follows news that you’ve won a large prize.

In fact, there is a large prize involved — a federal grant.

Raposo, the principal of Alfred S. Letourneau Elementary School on Anthony Street, and other school staff had just learned they’d been awarded a $285,000 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, which is funded federally and dispersed by the state, to help implement a longer school day there.
