Initial Education Pilot Program Results Show Less Than Half of Students in Participating Districts Meet Achievement Levels in Reading and Math

The New Hampshire Department of Education released the first results of a pilot program whose goal is to lessen the amount of standardized testing students must take.

Students in the four districts participating in the Performance Assessment for Competency Education program (otherwise known as PACE), are taking fewer Smarter Balanced tests than other districts, while officials in the four district work on ways to assess students’ learning in a more meaningful way.
