EWA National Seminar: Thank You, Chicago!

We had an incredible couple of days in Chicago for EWA’s 68th National Seminar, and all sorts of records were shattered, from attendance (500+) to the tweets (more than 15,000 at last check). 

I’m looking forward to sharing guest posts from some of the education journalists who joined us at the event, which was hosted by the University of Chicago. Highlights from the two keynote addresses are now available: Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan

In addition to the panel discussions, conversations, and hands-on workshops, we had a chance to see some local schools (we’ll have write-ups from those visits, as well). In the meantime, here’s something worth considering from Nikole Hannah-Jones, winner of this year’s Hechinger Grand Prize in our National Awards for Education Reporting:
